The Big Chill

Tickets go on sale on Friday, June 7, 2019, at 10:00am.
You can purchase tickets by visiting:, or by calling 540-375-3004.

You can snag an old VHS copy for around $2.00 at random yard sales in your neighborhood.

But for this Big Chill, General Admission tickets are $65.00 in advance and $80.00 on day of show (if there are any left!). VIP tickets are $150, both in advance and on day of show (if any remain).

General Admission patrons will be treated to an incredible evening of funk and groove. You’ll get to see Santa, enjoy top-notch musical acts (Did we mention that this is the Isley Brothers’ 60th anniversary tour?), have access to both seated and floor-area viewing, and an experience that is bar-none.

The Biggest Chillers of all will be rolling into the indelible VIP experience, which includes early entry (5 p.m.), preferred parking and private VIP entrance, access to exclusive Big Chill VIP Lounge (featuring a live stream during the show), access to The Big Chill Ballers Bar (featuring specialty drinks handcrafted by local mixologists), access to exclusive Big Chill VIP seating and stage-viewing area, light hors d’oeuvres, VIP laminate, two drink tickets, pictures with Santa, private VIP-only restrooms and ticket giveaways for FloydFest 2020. VIP tickets are $150.00.

I’m sorry, on a number of levels, but we are not offering a child’s ticket for this event. Children who are 5-years-old and younger will enjoy free admission as long as they are escorted by a responsible, ticketed adult.

Yes! There will be a Will Call inside the Salem Civic Center on the evening of the event.

It’s never a bad idea to have a printed copy of your ticket in hand upon entry. We will be able to scan tickets on your cellphones as well as look up tickets by name, but this action will make the entrance lines back up and it will all be your fault. You don’t want that, do you?

There is ample parking in front of and beside the Salem Civic Center and it’s 100% free to park in these lots for The Big Chill: A FloydFest Ball!

VIP patrons will enjoy early entry via exclusive entrance at 5:00pm.

General Admission patrons will be welcomed to join us, inside, at 6:00pm.

Yes, all bags (including fanny packs) entering the Salem Civic Center are subject to search; tiny pockets, as well. No outside food, drink, alcohol, no drugs, no glass and no weapons are allowed into the concert venue. If you have medical equipment, such as insulin supplies, please inform the security personnel performing the search.

There is stadium seating available inside the Salem Civic Center, so you won’t need to lug around a heavy and cumbersome personal chair. Leave it in the car and save yourself an extra trip.

We’re sorry, but coolers are not allowed inside the Salem Civic Center for this event. We’ve got movie theater rules in place here: no outside food or drink, with the exception of one item. You may bring in (1) one sealed bottle of water per person.

Dancing makes us thirsty, too! We will have non-alcoholic beverages as well as a variety of beer and cider selections for sale inside the venue. We will also have a wide variety of hot food, snacks, vegetarian and meat, gluten-filled & gluten-free nibbles, sure to meet the needs and desires of any palate.

Don’t leave home without it! All patrons must bring a valid form of identification, which will be prior to purchasing any alcoholic beverages.

Even if you run faster than the Winter winds, you’ll still find yourself shut out of the venue if you decide to leave. There is no re-entry during The Big Chill.

Absolutely! The Salem Civic Center is ADA accessible. There are special seating areas available for handicapped individuals.

NO PETS, PLEASE. We love our furry critters as much as you do, but the Salem Civic Center abides by federal ADA guidelines.

The Big Chill also means “chill” on the documentation of the evening. No photography, video or audio equipment or recording is allowed during this event. No photography of any kind is allowed during performances. This includes “throw away” cameras with or without detachable lenses, video cameras, and especially cell phone cameras.

Why would you want to be anywhere else on Earth on the evening of The Big Chill: A FloydFest Ball, and especially if you have tickets in hand? Truly; we can’t imagine what could pull you away from making memories with us on December 7, 2019.

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds or exchanges. However, you are welcome to give or transfer your ticket(s) to a deserving individual(s), who will be sure to tell you what a great time you missed.

It’s common knowledge that all of the paved streets in Salem are heated, so unless the drifts are taller than Civic Center itself, the show will go on. Just like the USPS, we will deliver in rain or snow, sleet or hail, or gloom of night.

The only ‘chills’ you’ll get from us will be chill bumps because the evening is going to blow you away with the music, magic, and memories of a lifetime.

The address of the venue is 1001 Roanoke Blvd., Salem, VA, 24153. You can also access a map/directions by clicking HERE.

I mean, we *all* want to continue the groove into the night, but a (wo)man’s gotta sleep sometime. The show will end by 11:00pm and patrons should plan on departing at that time.
